This school year is my 18th year at Frederick County Public Schools I taught for 16 years at Windsor Knolls Middle School. I received my B. A. in French from Drew University and completed the requirements for teacher certification at the University of Maryland. I worked for a number of years in business before taking about 10 years off when my children were little. It was during this time at home that I decided to return to school. I received my MBA from the University of Maryland shortly before the birth of my daughter. Once my children were in school full time, I returned to the workforce and worked in banking for a number of years. Finally, in 2001, I decided to pursue my first love, teaching.
I am certified in French, Spanish, German, Business Education and ESOL Although I also hold certification in Administration, I really do not want to work outside of the classroom. I love teaching and watching childen learn.
My husband and I have two children both of whom graduated from Linganore High School. My son attended college in Charlotte, North Carolina and he currently works in banking in that city. My daughter, a recent University of Virginia graduate, teaches 7th grade math in Alexandria, Virginia.
I enjoy traveling, spending time at the beach, reading (only during the summer!) and spending time with family. I love my two standard poodles Lacey and Bailey, You can often find me walking my two poodles around my neighborhood in Mount Airy!
